Manchester United is a funny team. This was conveyed by one of the English football pundits, Paul Merson, after seeing the results obtained by United at the beginning of the season.

United have had pretty good results in the first four Premier League games for the 2021/2022 season. United have never lost, won three and drawn one. But, after that United's performance declined.

Lose to Young Boys

Then, the Arsenal legend highlighted United's actions when they lost to Young Boys in the Champions League. In terms of players, United excel in all aspects. However, they actually lost.

"I don't mean to disrespect them, but Young Boys are a tavern team in Europe, but Manchester United lost to them in the Champions League!," he said.

Two Matches Against West Ham

After the defeat against Young Boys, United played two games in a row against West Ham. In the duel in the 5th week of the Premier League, United won 2-1. However, lost 1-0 in the duel in the Carabao Cup.
